The MOM Park energy centre supplies 6000 kW of heating and cooling capacity to the MOM buildings. The buildings it serves fall into three main groups:
- 166 apartments with a floor area of about 20 000 m² and 200 parking spaces;
- 3 office buildings with a floor area of about 13 500 m² and 640 parking spaces;
- a multifunctional centre with shops, restaurants and cafés, 9 cinemas and a smaller office centre, with a floor area of about 66 000 m² and 1540 parking spaces.
The system
The core of the energy centre is a gas engine with 1.2 MW thermal and 1 MW electrical output. The heating circuit also includes two boilers of 3 MW each to follow the heating demand quickly. In summer, the gas engine's heat drives an absorption chiller, and turbo-compressor chillers cover the additional cooling demand.
The energy centre runs 24/7 without operating staff on site — made possible by the main equipment's own controls working together with the building management system.
